I came across this table (DirAddressBookSecurityRole) in AX2012 R2 CU1 when browsing the AOT. It looks like there is a table for securing address books by security role next to secure by team or by legal entity. The label of this table is "Enter address books and assign role permissions".
I was not aware of this table before and searched further is the functionality indeed exists in AX2012. I found only two objects: Form DirPartAddressBooksForRole and a Display menu item with this same name. The Form seems to look like a fact box.
There is no other functionality nor a security policy who uses this table. So to me it seems to be an obsolete table at this moment. It is possible that it is depreciated from an earlier version or will be a functionality in future.
Does anybody knows more of this table and depreciated or future functionality?
