Hi Hossein, "In terms of accounting logic, you should close vouchers(statement) in the same of fiscal year.this restriction if for this." I agree for year closing should be done. But, I am not sure that i won't get this restriction if i have done the year closing. As per Ludwig comments, I need to do the year closing in DEV and need to check the report. Thanks.

Windows service isn't a task scheduling system, it's just a way to execute code. You write some code and decide whether you want it to run as an application (which needs to be explicitly started) or as background service. It doesn't say anything at all about what the code does. If you say that your service is the bottleneck, you should change what your service does, not avoiding Windows services. Processing records in batches instead of one by one (as I suggested before) indeed may increase throughput. Also, if there isn't a risk of blocking, you could send several concurrent requests to AX (a single Windows service can do that; you don't have to run several instances). But maybe the actual problem isn't in the service but the time needed to process each record and you should focus your effort there.

Thanks, Ludwig, below are the project details Project type is Fixed price Invoice ledger posting is balance sheet Project value = 100,000,000 Customer advance payment10% =10,000,000 1- I post the customer advance invoice, post the project consumption and post the project invoices with deducting the customer advance and evry thing working fine - After that, I run the project estimation 2- After running the project estimation I tried to generate the invoice proposal and found that the customer advance is disappeared and I can't deduct it from the invoice, note the I make the same scenario on test server and get the same result but when I reverse the project estimation I found that customer advance is displayed again. -The issue is the disappearance of customer advance in invoice proposal and I need to know, is it a normal behaviour?, or I miss something.

Hi All, Connector is used to integrate AX 2012 and CRM. Currently connector is configured and working properly for creating SO in CRM from AX. There is new requirement of creating new field in Sales table and exposing it to Connector. For this I took following steps 1) Create new field in Sales Table 2) Created parm(), setmethod() in AXSalesTable class. 3) Deactivate and Activated the Dynamics Connector service in AX. 4) Register the service. After performing above field is not exposed to Connector maps. Kindly let me know what steps I am missing so that it is exposed to Connector Maps? Thanks in Advance

AX inbound services are capable to process multiple request in parallel, so you may want to send multiple records using multiple threads, that should help.

Hello Hassan, I would say that this is a normal behavior. In step 1 you recorded already an invoice and deducted the customer advance. That is why you cannot deduct it once again if you create a new invoice in step 2. Please note that the project estimate function deals only with revenue and costs but is independent of the invoicing process. Best regards, Ludwig

Its a greyv erea with conflicting advice. I vaguely recall some cases to do with return orders where this might be needed, and I am pretty sure the Inventory close sets flags on inventory transactions and on-hand (InventSum) records that close records - which is relevant also for standard costing. So I agree, run inventory close even for standard -it should not take long.

Thanks Ludwig, I forgot to mention that I deduct a part of customed advance , not full amount , so why the remaining advance payment is disappearing on invoice propsal especially after running the estimation and appeared again when i reverse the estimation please advise.

Hi all, Just a small question, how do I find out the derived tables for a given Abstract(parent) table in AOT, means how many tables are inheriting the abstract table. Also that after deploying the AX Project to AOT, does my project object still be showing in bold, means all the tables, classes edited/created by me will be shown in bold? Any idea please.

Right-click the parent table in AOT and choose Add-Ins > Type hierarchy browser . The other question doesn't belong to this thread ( Find out Derived Table for a Parent(Abstract) table) ; you should have created a new thread for that. But anyway, objects in bold are those in the current layer, therefore yes, you'll see them in bold too in other environments if you log into the layer where they're defined.
