Hi

We are an existing AX 2012 R2 user with sites being rolled out in several countries. We are about to open a new site in Thailand, and I note from the Microsoft documentation that I should contact MS Thailand to obtain a "Customer Sequence Number" which is entered into our AX system to identify us and the software to the Thai Revenue dept.

I have spoken and mailed MS Thailand, and  they do not seem to have any idea about this. I've also spoken with MS Dynamics support in the UK (as suggested by MS Thailand) and nobody was able to help at all.

I guess if i needed to buy new licences a local implementation partner might have more of an idea but I already have 500+ licences and don't need any more for this site.

Does anyone have any idea about the correct process required to obtain the Customer Sequence Number.

Hello Everyone,

Whenever this type of error occur first you generate full CIL and if any error occur you can resolve error

and after this you again install reporting services extensions.

Its working................!!!!

Thanks a lot it works, my problem is the same issue came up again after less than a week? Any ideas on where the problem might be coming from?

Hi Carlos,

I guess you want to manage and track costs of your investments which needs some time to build up. You can use Projects of type 'Investment' for it. Periodically you can estimate the progress and afther the investment has finished, you can transfer the investment costs to an Asset, Ledger account or another Project.

Da verwendet man seit Wochen die Windows 8.1 Preview mit automatischer Installation von App-Updates und gleich entgeht mir etwas: offensichtlich kann man jetzt die Windows 8 Apps für Dynamics AX 2012 mit einer Echt-Instanz von AX verbinden!

Etwas verdächtig ist mir ja schon vorgekommen, dass seit Kurzem es ein neues Whitepaper zum Thema “Configure Microsoft Dynamics AX Connector for Mobile Applications” gibt. Als ich dann heute auf einem Microsoft Surface Tablet die Apps neu installiert habe kam auf einmal die Frage, ob ich den Demomodus verwenden möchte oder ob ich Zugangsdaten eintragen möchte (so weit bin ich aber noch nicht). Sobald ich dazu komme gibt’s weitere Infos dazu !

Hey guys,

I've got the security development tool running in my test enviroment now. Everything works except for the client recording function. When I start 'record' it says its recording but when I press 'Stop record' it says that no entry points were recorded. Can somebody help me with this?

The client is on AX2012 R2 and Management Reporter 2012 version 2.1.1033.30.  In Management Reporter, they have a dimension called Agreement.  When I look in the front end AX2012 application, there is no such dimension.  Also, when I look at the Dimension Attribute table in the AOT, there is no dimension called Agreement.  We would like to remove/delete the Agreement dimension in Management Reporter.  Is this possible?

Any insight is appreciated.

We are trying to use RMA to process customer returns and are having trouble getting the sales tax reports to use the state product was originally sold to instead of the return to state where we reside.  Does anybody have any suggestions on how to make the RMA software properly pick the sales tax group from the original order header or return from state?  Is there a way to change the deliver-to state from defaulting to our address to using the original delivery state/address?

 

We are using AX 2009.

Hi Afin,

Which version of AX are you using? If it is AX2009 or before you can check whether an user has assigned more than one security group with the table permissions. (Perhaps only one has the RLS).

If it is AX2012, you have to login as an NON administrator. The security is not being applied to administrators.

Hi Kumon,

Have you tried to run the Vendor aging report with other parameters and aging buckets? Are the setting for the Vendor aging report similar as your Customer aging report? What are the differences?

The client is on AX2012 R2 and Management Reporter 2012 version 2.1.1033.30.  In AX2012, they have Fiscal Years 2009 - 2014 inclusive set up.  In Management Reporter, I am able to generate reports for all of the Fiscal years except 2013.  When I try to generate a report for 2013, I get the following error:  "Period 1 of 2013 is not valid for the selected company."  All of the Fiscal years are set up for 12 periods in AX2012.  However, when I try to generate a report in 2013, I notice that there are 24 periods available to select from in Management Reporter.  I am not sure if these 24 periods are relevant or not.  However, AX has 12 periods for Fiscal year 2013.

Any insight is appreciated.

Hi, I 've published this problem several times and I'd like to know what's happening because I've been looking for information on web but I haven't got answers.

When I retrieve a suspended transaction I try to show it in the POS, I'm able to show it but for some reason the quantity and amount is always '1' and the unitary amonunt. I've tried two possible solutions, the first one is to show every saleitem in the retailtransaction, this works but as I said before, the quantity and amount are not correct. The other solution was to copy exactly the proccess that the original "Recover Transaction" screen does but it doesn't work at all.

So, having written the lines above I have several questions:

1.Is it possible to retrieve the right suspended transaction to the POS, I mean, to show the article with its correct quantity and amount?

2.Is there a bug or something that doesn't let to show a suspended transaction customizated in the POS?

3. Is the version 6.0.1108.00 having a problem with the topic above?

Yes,  I can create another line to receive the remaining items, but because packing slip B and packing slip A both exists, the purchase order will never recover "Invoiced" status again. I'd like to cancel packing slip B if is possible and then receive the remmaining items by creating new lines. If that is not possible, I'd like to know what will happen physically and financially with the purchase order and packing slips A and B.

If you dont have access and do not know who have access to give you the VPC files, i think that you can install AX by yourself.

So what I'm down to figuring out at this point is that the axupdate process ignores the servers configuration setting and doesn't look where the configuration points to for the location of the application files. If I move the back to a default location, say C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics AX\50\Application, it will find them instantly and offer to update them. It doesn't appear you can toggle this location via the configuration tools or the registry.

Anyone have thoughts on this?
