Can you try the following if you have AX2012 R2 RTM environment on any other machine, then try to copy the client folder to your machine with a different name like Client_RTM  at the path where you have current client installed, generally at C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Dynamics AX\60. So the result will be that you will have two client folders at this location. One for AX2012 R2 CU7 and another for AX2012 R2 RTM.

Then try to run your AX2012 R2 RTM configuration by pointing to this new client.

I have done similar thing in AX2009 and it used to work perfectly fine but never tried on AX2012.
