Forum Post: MES - Cost allocation job registration bundling for Machines and Human Resources AX 2012 R2

I have a requirement to capture both machine and labour costs for a Production order using MES Job Registration. Machine costs should be based on the actual running hours whereas labour hours should be spread over the jobs being run simultaneously by the worker (i.e. in the Bundle).  I can't find a way of doing this in standard AX 2012.So the scenario I have set up is a Route with a single Operation but with two lines Primary is for the Machine and a Secondary line for the human resource.

The MES created Job Journal for the primary operation (which is for a machine type resource) should be posted with the actual time. I.e. Hours = Finish time – Start time. It should not reduce the hours based on Bundling i.e. running multiple Jobs simultaneously. (Note in AX2009 there was a bundling option called “Normal” - Actual time for the job. This option has been removed in AX2012??).

Whereas the Secondary Jobs Journal line which is “Human Resource” type Resource would use the MES - Production parameter - Bundle Type of "Net time". This will allocate the cost of the person evenly across all of the Jobs they are working on at one time.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Just for update , what are mean issues you are facing right  now with your customization?

I am working in a CRM Project and I think that your work will be helpful for me.

I don't know if this functionality can be implemented into AX 2009.

In project management module, the link ALL Projects returns all projects regardless data area Id. I need to enable / disable some customized menu items based on the projStatusTypeRule for selected project Status & type. I use the below query but I find that if the project is not under the current legal entity , the query result is not correct i.e. based on the setting of the legal entity where the project is originally  created, it has the option to create course but the project doe not have this right if the project list is accessed from another entity.  

Note that the code is added to ProjProjectsListPageInteraction  /setButtonAccess method

OK, I try to use the standard way with the generate from Template button...

All seems set up well.

When I open my Docx Template from my desktop, it fetch some data in my Template and it work perfectly.

But, when I'm trying to use it by the button, it open the Template in Word but all the fields are empty.

In the DocuRef table, the RefTableId and the RefRecId are the right one.

What is my problem???

Hello!

When we started this blog, I mentioned that it was written by the program management group for AX HCM.  The main focus of our job is to write the requirements for features going into the next release of AX.  However, as part of that process we do a lot of research to ensure that we are building the right features, and that the features that we do build, have the right functionality.

One of the highlights of our job is working with AX customers and people in HCM roles as part of our research.  We love hearing from you!  We love hearing about your daily activities, the favorite parts of your job, and the not-so-favorite parts of your job.  :)  Last fall I worked on a project that involved researching the role of a recruiter, and I absolutely loved it!  I was so impressed by how quickly recruiters could identify potential candidates but also, how excited they were when they were able to place a candidate into the job of their dreams.  So rewarding and cool! 

Our customer interaction can take place at conferences, over email, video chats, customer visits, and phone calls.  The more we learn from YOU the better we become at what we do.  Therefore, we will occasionally have links to surveys in the blog.  The surveys might ask about a particular process, or about a specific feature, or they might be asking your opinion on a particular topic.  The survey that I’m including in this blog, is just meant to learn more about you, but also to get feedback in the areas of employee self-service, time and attendance, and maintaining employee records.  The survey will take 5-10 minutes and is completely anonymous. Thank you, FSILVA, for your reply. As I mentioned in my post all 39 components/prerequisites did go through successfully and the only one that is Web site (SharePoint Central Administration) did not. So, it could mean that all needed components could be Ok except that one that I'd still need to resolve.

I don't want to be too stubborn on it but I'd need the AX for training and would need to find a way how to install it. Could you please suggest anything on it?

8. On the Action Pane, in the Products group, click Add products. (technet.microsoft.com/.../jj728712.aspx)

So, I can add products, that were added in demo base earlier (out of box). But mine products I cannot add despite they are added to Assortment and Retail and Navigation hierarchies. I just cant select them. So I understand that there are some settings of the product, but which?

Pavel, did you use VM when you set up you retail catalog? Or you set up everything by yourself. I suspect that there can be problems with VM.

Because I use DAX VM DEMO v4.

The outbound processing service sends only what it finds in the queue (AifOutboundProcessingQueue table), therefore you have to add a request to the queue first. It's always important to detect where things fail - if you don't get anything into the queue, the problem surely isn't in adapter's setup, for example.

You'll find a sample code for sending a request to the queue in the walkthrough I linked before. Such a code may be run from a button (as described in the walkthrough) or from any other logic. You may want to know that there already is a piece of logic doing that when printing sales invoices (except when printing to screen). See sendAsXML() method in SalesInvoiceJournalPrint class for details.

In Office 2013 I choose the 'dark grey' theme in File > Options. This enhances the colour contrast between the menus and the data and makes the screen easier to read.

Many of our users have complained about the 'glare' on the white / very pale blue AX 2012 screen. Is there a setting I can adjust to change this. Changing the default Windows display settings doesn't seem to alter it.
